Payment
If you have made a booking you may pay by clicking the ‘Pay Now’ button below.
The button below will take you to Pay Pal where you will see an entry form as above. Simply write your Surname with a space and the date your booking starts in the Description.
Unit price will depend on your agreed up-front payment. This may be £100 deposit or a full payment which will vary depending on the length of your stay and time of year. Simply enter the amount confirmed to you by email and select Update Totals.
Follow the remaining Pay pal procedure as normal. Many Thanks.
Booking Conditions
1.Booking Conditions for Kirkgate Cottage
- 1.1 A Non- refundable deposit of a third is required at the time of booking. If we do not receive your deposit within 7 days we will assume you no longer wish to go ahead and we will then re-book the cottage.
- 1.2 Deposits are non- refundable and if you cancel you will be liable to pay the balance if we are unable to re-book the cottage. You are therefore strongly advised to have appropriate holiday cancellation insurance in place. No reservation will be treated as confirmed until the deposit has been paid.
- 1.3 Payments can be made either by cheque to Mrs Y Smalridge, by Paypal or by BAC Transfer. The balance is payable in full 4 weeks prior to the date of arrival, if a booking is made within 4 weeks of the date of arrival then the full amount must be paid.
2.If we cancel the rental
- 2.1 If after we have confirmed your booking, and for reasons out with our control we cannot offer you the property; we will refund the full rental price.
3.If you cancel the rental
- 3.1 If you cancel the booking please inform us as soon as possible.
- 3.2 If you cancel a booking we will charge the cancellation fees as set out below:
- (a) If we receive your cancellation 4 weeks before you are due to arrive you will lose the deposit - a third of the rental price.
- (b) If we receive your cancellation after this then you will lose (100%) the full amount. If you decide to reschedule then we can retain amount paid and arrange an alternative date; adjusting the price as applicable.
We suggest you take out insurance to cover the possibility of cancellation.
Policy
Telephone
There is no telephone in the cottage but Chirnside has good mobile phone reception. There is also a telephone in the hotel around the corner in case of an emergency or a public phone box in the village.
Electricity & water
These are both provided at no extra cost.
Pets
Pets are a natural addition to any family and are very welcome in this cottage.
They too are very well catered for with steel dog dishes and dog towels after those wet walks.
In the interest of all our guests we do ask that you respect the furnishings by using covers provided should your pets sit with you. Also, if you bring your pets in from a walk and they are wet please try and keep them in the kitchen until they are dry.
Smoking
This is a no smoking cottage.
